"You do it right! This was my 2nd new Harley I've purchased (1st from SHD) and your dealer is in my opinion one of the best. You know what customer service is all about. From the first call to find my bike of choice to 8 months after I drove off the lot you still keep in touch. It might be trivial to some but customer service should not stop after the sale. "I had always been a Triumph rider, my husband an HD rider. He needed his 5000 mile service and when we walked into the showroom at Shenandoah, while we were waiting, there she was. Sonny, my husband's salesman, is the best. He knew that I hadn't been ready to make the shift to HD, but when I asked him about a "special" Dyna Low Ryder, he was more than helpful. Four to five hours later I said good-bye to my Triumph and hopped on my NEW DYNA. The service dept. was fabulous and even had someone stay late to change the mid controls to forward for me. They went over everything on the bike with me before I left, even though they were already closed. Later, I had some problems and had to bring the Dyna back for work. EVERYONE was so good to me, they helped me get back on my ride no matter what it took. My husband & I have dealt with other HD shops and these guys were always and are always above and beyond. Even when I used to pull in with my Triumph, they always treated me as a fellow rider and not an outsider. You guys have another Brand Champion on your side, my club has heard about everyone (I think our pres. might be coming over to check out an ultra glide). Love ALL OF YOU!! I could just go on and on, but I think I've made my point. Keep up the GREAT work!"

"Bob, Rode up during the Miss Shennandoah event and purchased some mufflers for my 09 Road King. Service was REALLY busy and I asked the nice readhead in service if there was any possible way she could fit me in that day. She said they were swamped, but she would do what she could. A few minutes later my bike was in the back having the new mufflers installed! Parts had everything on hand and it was a great experience! "I was out riding with friends the first warm weekend right after the snow pushed through the area. I slid on some debris in the road at an intersection in Lexington, VA. The police officer reminded me of your dealership that was just up the road. I called and told some one in service that I had broken my shift lever on my Wide Glide and wanted to know if you all could get me back on the road and back to Bedford, VA. Within 30 minutes your driver pulled up and loaded my bike and on our way to your dealership. When we arrived (on a Saturday afternoon) your placed was packed. The woman behind the service desk looked at my bike and had it in the back within 20 minutes. She informed me that as soon as it was ready she would let me know. Within 2 hours they replaced the broken shift lever and a couple other essential repairs to make it road safe. To me this shows Shenandoah's commitment to the Harley namesake. Even though I did not purchase my bike from you all, you treated me as though I was one of your valued customer. I now consider myself a valued customer, and will be back under better circumstances. "Purchased my 1st Harley Sportster from another dealership in March 2008. Decided to trade up and purchased a 2009 Electric Glide Classic from Shenandoah. What a difference! The salesman Sonny talked to me found out what I was looking for and steered me towards the Classic. He didn’t lose interest once the sale was made and continues to check in and see how things are going. Finally, I was looking at putting after market pipes on my bike and both Matt in service and Sonny recommended that I look at the screaming eagles. I went ahead and put the screaming eagles and a Stage 1 air cleaner on the bike. I can’t be happier with the Harley. It sounds great, looks great and has that extra kick! "Ladies and Gentlemen, I bought my FIRST Harley, a 883 Sportster from Mitch August of last year and fell in love with riding!!! Well...It's February of 2009 and I just turned "40" and went back and saw Mitch and got myself a 07 Heritage Softail Classic. What a RIDE!!! "I was on route from York PA, to Rock Mountain National Park via Skyline Drive and Blue ridge Parkway. I was coming out of a convenience store parking lot in Waynesboro, on a downgrade driveway, front wheel at a right turn angle, when and idiot, trying to beat cross traffic, barreled across in front of me. I swear, he didn't miss me but about a foot doing at least twenty miles an hour. Applying my front brake hard was about the only option I had and went over left and down hard, as the driveway was downgrade left. The jackass that nearly ran over me continued through the parking lot and ran away, whereas some real nice folks ran over to see about me and helped me up with the bike. I bent my left clutch handle, shift lever, and badly scratched the rally plate. The bike was still ride able, so I checked my Harley zumo Road Tech for the closest dealer. Shenandoah Harley Davidson was my closest choice, and as I found out later, my best choice. I went to the Service entrance, was met by very friendly staff, and told they would get me in right away, which they did. They allowed me to store all my travel gear in a secure closet while my bike was in the shop, and offered me refreshments. I relaxed, shopped for a while and found a custom rally plate I thought would look good on my Street Bob. I asked if they could install it, and "No Problem" seemed to be the phrase of the day for these folks. As a rider since 1968, I knew what parts were going to be needed and what work was going to be involved. Much to my surprise, they asked me if I wanted to bend the shift lever back or replace it rather than just selling me a new part. I replaced all the parts. They had me out in two hours, didn't try to "pad" my service work, and presented my bike to me cleaner than when they took it back. The bill was reasonable and the Service Manager went over each item with me even though I didn't ask. This is honesty and working for the customer. These are good people, period. When I have trouble on the road, I'll be lucky if I can find this caliber of dealer again. I'll visit my Shenandoah friends whenever I'm close."

"We do not have a Buell dealer in Bristol Virginia/Tennessee so we stopped by Shenandoah HD/Buell on the way to Charlottesville to order parts. The sales lady was not only nice but knew what she was doing. She looked up the parts quickly, ordered them and had them shipped to our house. "What a store...What a STAFF! We had been wanting a Harley for 10 years and had to wait. We were dealing with another Harley Davidson store in Richmond and just something wasn't right, I couldn't buy from there. We were on our way back from visiting relatives and something told us to stop at the store. We met some of the best people I've ever known that day and we left with the Harley of our dreams and the price we were looking for. I can't say enough about all the people there...Sonny, Jennifer, Kristina, Dan, Mitch...ALL OF YOU! I have never had a more pleasant 5 hour buying a motorcycle experience before in my life :) We live 2 1/2 hours away and we still refuse to buy anything from another Harley Davidson store. We have been back for shirts, chaps, helmets, part accessories and everything else we've needed, we're even driving back for our oil changes! Besides, what a great day it makes to ride for a few hours in beautiful scenery on a beautiful Harley motorcycle, shop and then ride home back through it again (right ladies?). "My family was on a camping trip in Staunton, VA.in July 2008. We decided to take a drive to check out some of the sights. We saw a sign along the highway and decided to stop. I have wanted a HD for years and my wife kept telling me that once we were married I could get one. Well, we just tied the knot in June and I knew I had to try. Much to my suprise she was pushing for me to but one more than I was. There was an open house going on at the time and the place was packed. We dealt with Sunny who was incredibly helpful! Needless to say 4 hours later I was the proud new owner of a brand new Fat Bob!! Curtis was extremly helpful and has a great sense of humor!! I promise I'll send those pics of my wife and her friend on the bike! Everyone at Shenandoah HD was helpful on that trip. We had to come back the following weekend to get the bike since we had to pull the camper home that weekend. Shenandoah HD is the place that I recommend to everyone. "

"Oh My !!! I purchased my first Harley Davidson at your dealership, a 2008 FLSTC White Gold/Pewter. Everyone was fantastic. My hat is off to Curtis who offered help on securing a trailer for transport, Laura who made the paperwork a joy and even had my name on the bike when I arrived. The parts, service and shop guys are the best and all bent over backwards to make my first purchase a delight. Since this was my first Harley I had to visit the apparel shop and they were great. "I travel all over the U.S. and I try to stop by as many dealerships as possible, the personnel and the way they interact with me as a potential customer/customer ranges from fantastic to dismal. I usually don't buy anything when the service is below par, but when it's outstanding I always make a purchase. Your dealership is one of (if not) the best Harley Dealership in Virgina, and one of the best on this side of the Mississippi. St. Louis Harley Davidson is another one of my favorites but they are on the other side of the river. "To whom is may concern, Some friends and I had been planning a Blue Ridge Parkway ride for a year to occur during mid May of 2008. The trip was to last 6 days and cover some 1300 miles. On the first day of our trip we left Hampton Roads (Chesapeake) on a full tank of gas and lots of sun. The first leg of the trip was to meet up with a few more bikes in Waynesboro, VA. For me and my new Black Pearl, 103, Ultra, we were about to enjoy some sweet times and long windy roads. As my luck would have it, all the way there the bike was back firing, lunging, sputtering, and tons of other noises I have never heard a bike make. I barely made it to Waynesboro, but I did make it. At first we thought, it had to be bad fuel. But, 2 other bikes had fueled up when I did, so that was a no go diagnosis. This whole situation was bad cause of 5 bikes there, the three metric bikes delivers some serious jeers about Harleys. I paid them no mind and after much thought and looking under the hood. I decided to make a bee line for the nearest Harley in Staunton, Va. It was Shenandoah Harley http://shenandoahhd.com to be exact and It was only about 15 minutes away thankfully. But the bike just barely made it. I did have one of my buds escort me so I had someone’s shoulder to cry on thinking the beast was dead. This was an awesome place to get stuck. Nestled in the mountains and overlooking a sweet postcard view, I gave the bike to the techs and hoped for the best. They worked the Black Pearl into their schedule and I had a cause and effect really quick. It seems that either me or and act of the devil separated my fuel pump and fuel regulator. The tech tried to put it back together, but humpty dumpty would not be put together again. Ok, I can take a few parts to fix, let’s fix it. The next statement blew me away. He said, we don’t carry these parts yet, the bike is too new. I was floored. Doomed I was, doomed to trailer the beast back in shame. Then his next statement blew me off the planet. He said, I just bought a new ultra and I’ll take my regulator/Fuel pump assembly off and put it on your bike. I looked at him like his head just fell off and there sat his shoulders. Then of course my head popped off too. Then I asked him to repeat that, and he said the same thing again. I could not believe it. Well, he did just that. My bud and I ate some lunch next to the view to die for and the tech got me back up and running in just under an hour. We caught up with the rest of our group and all was well the rest of the trip. The techs name was J.C. Crawford and just so you know J.C., you are the man. I hope you got your ride up and working again. Try and get some metric shop to do what this place did to get me going, but I don’t believe there is one. If you are ever in central VA and need some HD help or just to stop by and enjoy some lunch on the deck, this is the place. Thank you J.C. and Shenandoah Harley. "Thanks to Matt Ladd and Larry Swisher, my buddy and I were able to complete our loosely organized trip from Cincinnati to DC. Even though we hobbled in at 10 minutes before closing on Friday night, Matt was receptive and did a quick fix of my Sportster so we could at least get to a motel for the night. He advised that I show up 30 minutes before the dealership opened on Saturday so I could be first in line and he could get me back on the road ASAP. Wow! If that wasn't good enough, Larry volunteered to ride with us to show us the various lodging and restaurants in town. Having spent the better part of the last 24 hours pushing the Sportster through the mountains, meeting the people at this dealership was like finding the Promised Land. Funny as it seems, this good old boy from Cincinnati felt like I had family in Virginia. Matt, Larry and everyone at this dealership have shown me just how truly professional and friendly a Harley Davidson dealership can be. I would bet that the Harley name has been built on a tradition of family stores just like this one. Thank you for raising the bar for others to chase. "My husband has wanted a Harley Davidson for the past 20 years. He stopped in on his was home from Harrisonburg, VA and was so taken by Bill Dunham. He told Bill what he was looking for and a couple days later Bill called and told him he had bought a bike site un seen. It was exactly what he wanted. Bill done a great job putting my husband on the bike he wanted. we also got to meet Curtis Thompson. We were so satisified with our experience that we went back and bought a second bike. Looked everywhere to find one that was the same color of my husbands and Curtis and Bill worked very hard in finding what we wanted. "I was looking to get back into the Cruiser Market. I had owned a couple of Harleys in the past and right about when the "price gouging" started, I understood it, but i didn't choose to participate. That was back in Texas. The one thing I found with H-D is the service was always the best. The people involved in the dealerships I have been around were always committed; to the customer, the bike and to the dealership. This seems to be the case here, also. All departments have been fair and up front. Courteous and willing to help. I first saw the dealership in Waynesboro a few years ago when I was getting some accessories for an ill-fated Excelsior. "My husband and I were on vacation on our bikes from Michigan and stopped at your dealership. The selection of merchandise was huge and much larger than the dealerships at home and you carried many items we have never seen. The staff was so friendly offering coffee, internet access to look at the weather (a thunderstorm was heading in our direction) and gave us some dealership keychains and stickers. " I lost my linkage on the Blueridge Parkway in the middle of a 10 day 3000 mile run. I heard of a new dealership called Shenandoah H.D. from a passing biker. I used Tyewraps to put the linkage back together and continued the ride to the next Hotel Stop. I called Shenandoah the next morning and they took me right away, before they even opened (8:15)!!! The stop was a enjoyable one with fresh coffee and clean restrooms... You just can't beat that Southern Hospitality.. Great People.. I was in and back on the road before breakfeast....The owner Bob Ladd himself came out to talk to me.. I felt like I was in my own shop. "The end of May 06 I was on a long trip from Arkansas to ride the Blue Rideg Pky from top to bottom. Sixty miles out of Staunton,Va I developed a problem with my 95 Road King. Your service manager immediately checked my bike upon my arrival and said my belt was too tight. He immediately got it into the shop to loosen it. Less than an hour I was on the road again. "After completing the Safety Motor Course I went to a local H-D store and was told a Sportster was the perfect bike for me. After I got it home, I realized it was not the perfect bike for me. It was a 2005 XL Custom and it is very top heavy for someone 110 pounds and 5'5" tall. I told that dealership I was having a hard time with the bike and their response to me was to try and lower the bike. However the parts would not be available for approximately a year! Who wants to wait that long to ride a bike they have been waiting for for 20 years. A year later, I decided to sell the bike and find something else in the H-D family I could ride. My husband took me to many dealerships searching for the right bike for me. We stumbled upon Shenandoah H-D one Saturday. The store was new and really big. I thought this is going to be like the other dealership I bought my Sportster from. Stuffy people not willing to give us a good deal. Man, was I ever so wrong! They showed me the 05 Softail Deluxe and even let me take it for a test drive right off the showroom floor. I was sold!!!! The sales staff was very accommodating to me and my needs. The parts department was very friendly and helpful when I had questions about accessories for the Deluxe. Overall, it was the best experience since I joined the H-D family. Yes, my husband bought the Deluxe for me. We lowered it an inch, added a windshield, engine guards and a sissy bar. The bike is Black Cherry. I recently entered it into a bike show back in my home town and took 4th place. I LOVE MY H-D!!!!!!!!! And I love you folks for making my life exciting and adventurous. "I have never been so lucky in my misfortune! I basicly shredded an S&S stroker engine while touring the Skyline in '03. You can imagine the feeling of despair as I rolled down the hills towards Waynesboro asking directions to any local bike shop. I was directed to Shenandoah Harley and arrived there as they were closing up shop. On speaking to the guys there I immediately felt I was in the right place. A sense of relief and confidence overcame me as they took their time to diagnose the problem and make me feel comfortable and at home.
